Independent synthetic snapshot writer. Modification and reuse permitted.
Run Python 3.11 or newer: python -B test_owned_snapshot.py; python -B run_examples.py.
Tests use real files in owned subdirectories next to the package, not the operating-system temporary directory. Only those explicitly created test directories are removed.
save requires an explicit existing trusted private directory, a bounded key and two allowed synthetic fields. It validates before staging, creates exclusively, syncs/closes, checks context again and replaces one destination.
Failure removes only the file created by that attempt. A cleanup error is preserved together with the primary error. There is no wildcard sweep, directory deletion or external system/network access in the save function.
No authorization, database transaction, concurrent-update conflict protocol, recovery after process kill, hostile-directory protection or power-loss durability guarantee. Successful replace semantics depend on the actual filesystem. The root and its ancestor directories must be controlled by the caller.
The browser viewer reads saved local records only; it does not execute Python or write visitor files.
No original business receipts, tabs, accounts, URLs, credentials or customer media are included.
