After removing duplicate navigation, many video shelves remained below the first screen. A proposal could defer work for content still outside the viewport. K-POP PULSE’s August 6 record, however, marks that proposal as deferred rather than completed.
I read that decision beyond a statement that optimization was not performed. The shelves already supported horizontal browsing and position restoration. Describing a potential benefit differs from verifying the change while retaining those behaviors.
An available idea is different from an implemented result
The historical proposal considers CSS features for deferring rendering work below the fold. The document describes their intended role without recording an applied improvement. Appearing beside the completed list consolidation does not mean both changes were executed.
The existence of a property or library is not an improvement result on another site either. Read the actual change, the environment in which it was checked and the retained user behavior. Proposal, start, implementation and measurement need separate states instead of one success label.
Retain the shelf’s existing behavior as acceptance conditions
The deferral record raises interaction between horizontal scrolling, restored positions, snapping and layout changes. This concern explains a judgment; it is not a reproduced result proving that the feature necessarily causes a defect. The choice was to establish the needed inspection environment first.
I would record the target element’s responsibilities beyond its initial appearance. Inspect which item was reached, what appears after returning from another page and whether surrounding content shifts as material is laid out. The behaviors to preserve were broader than a screen merely loading.
A device check became the condition for starting
The document links its start condition to earlier differences between development views and an actual in-app browser. It asks for phone before-and-after evidence. I do not turn that into a universal requirement to use the same device for every optimization: the condition matched this screen’s prior failure environment and proposed change.
If the inspection environment is unavailable, retain the unapplied state explicitly. When it becomes available, compare versions against the same flow. A missing check should not be replaced by a completed label, and an unapplied change should not acquire an improvement through the prose.
Leave enough information to resume a deferred decision
A deferred label alone can leave the next maker with vague concern or another investigation from scratch. Retain the candidate target, behavior to preserve, evidence needed and absent measurement together. The new explanatory ledger below develops that principle from the historical record.
It is not a program automatically determining real execution state. In use, add compared versions, material and environments, leaving missing results empty. The shape of a document must not manufacture a claim that a property is safe or defective.

}Do not add future benefits to completed work
Duplicate-list removal was a separate completed task. Offscreen-shelf optimization remained a deferred candidate. Their neighboring descriptions do not establish that both contributed to the historical reduction figures. Actual changes and responses determine what was executed.
I would separate what can be changed now from what needs verification before implementation. Deferral can preserve the objective while specifying a concrete condition for starting again. The record should let another maker test the same scene and continue toward a better decision, instead of relying on an invented improvement.
The document also retains the upper layout and equal presentation effort for subjects. Removing selected subjects to reduce work would change the question the page answered. Include continued access to the same content and responsibilities in the acceptance conditions.
